Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees and line a sheet pan with parchment paper, a silicone baking mat, or aluminum foil.
  2. Lay out saltines in an even layer, fully lining pan.
  3. In a saucepan, combine butter and light brown sugar over medium heat. Whisk well and bring to a boil. Once boiling, cook for 3 minutes, whisking constantly, until thickened. Whisk in vanilla extract and cinnamon.
  4. Pour caramel over crackers and use a spatula to spread in an even layer. Place in oven and bake for 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over top, then return to oven and bake for 2 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and use a spatula to spread out melted chocolate. Sprinkle chopped pecans and salt to taste, and let cool completely until set. Chop into smaller pieces or break up with your hands. Enjoy!

NOTE
  1. Flaky salts like kosher flake and fleur de sel adhere best and look great!
