

Sweet, Spicy & Savory Candied Nuts

A little salty, a little sweet, a little spicy, and a little herby, these candied nuts are great for enjoying by the handful or adding to your next charcuterie board. They also make for a great DIY gift for hosts/hostesses, especially at the holidays!

Ingredients
- 1 large egg white
- 1 tablespoon water
- 3 cups unsalted nuts of choice (pecans, almonds, cashews, etc.)
- 1/2 cup cane sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon sea or Himalayan pink salt
- 1 teaspoon Simply Organic® Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Simply Organic® Rosemary (crush with mortar and pestle, if desired)
- 1/2 teaspoon Simply Organic® Sage
- 1/8 teaspoon Simply Organic® Cayenne
Directions
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Lightly grease a non-stick sheet pan with cooking spray or oil.
- In a large bowl, whisk together egg white and water until frothy. Add nuts and stir until well coated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together sugar, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, rosemary, sage and cayenne. Pour sugar mixture over nuts and stir well until evenly coated.
- Spread nuts in an even layer on baking sheet and place on center rack of oven. Bake for a total of 55 to 60 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven, stir, and let cool completely before enjoying.
