Born in a kitchen, GoMacro started small, with a large purpose. In 2003, co-founder Amelia Kirchoff was diagnosed with breast cancer. She decided to fight the cancer, with the help of her daughter. During her battle, Amelia created the macrobiotic MacroBar recipe in her kitchen – and she beat the cancer.


Since 2004, GoMacro has grown from selling MacroBars in local food co-ops, to making 100% plant-based nutrition bars available nationwide.
