Grain Free Vegan Magic Bars

Grain Free Vegan Magic Bars

Total Time: 00h 40m
Makes: 12 - 16 servings

These grain free vegan magic bars are a must for the holidays. My grandmother Birtciel made the traditional 7-layer magic bar every holiday. These are every bit as good, and even better than I remember as a child. Almond flour base and coconut condensed milk switch up the traditional ingredient list, as does adding in a layer of Grandy Oats grain free vegan granola. This was quite literally a genius addition if I don’t say so myself. Store these bars in the fridge, but they are delicious cold or at room temperature. I think you will find yourself making these bars anytime of the year, not just the holidays. (Thank you to our friend Stacey Swanson for creating this wonderful recipe.)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Preheat 350 degree oven (325 if you are using a dark pan).
  2. Spray the pan liberally with nonstick spray.
  3. Line the pan with parchment in strips with some overhang. The spray the parchment liberally.
  4. Mix the almond flour, agave, vegan butter and salt. Press evenly into the pan and pop into the oven for about 5 minutes.
  5. Layer on the chocolate chips, coconut flakes, pecans, & granola.
  6. Pour the condensed milk all over the top.
  7. Bake for about 20-25 minutes. Then cool completely before trying to remove or cut.
  8. Condensed milk can hard to the pan when cooled so take care and be patient trying to lift the bars out with the parchment wings. You may need to use a butter knife to gently loosen the sides up.
  9. Cut into squares. Store in the fridge and eat straight out cold or let come to room temperature. These are divine grain free and vegan and I challenge anyone that says grain free vegan tastes like cardboard.
