Healthy Strawberry Milkshake

The secret to a strawberry milkshake that can legitimately stand-in as breakfast? Creamy, low-fat Greek yogurt, frozen banana, roasted strawberries, and real vanilla bean paste. Ingredients
- For the roasted strawberries:
- 1 pound fresh strawberries, cleaned, hulled and sliced
- 1 teaspoon coconut sugar
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- ½ teaspoon salt
- For the milkshakes:
- 1 cup roasted strawberries
- 1 banana, frozen and cut in half
- 1 cup milk of choice (unsweetened)
- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon Karamelize.me Organic Almond Butter
- 1 teaspoon Simply Organic Vanilla Bean Paste
Directions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- In a shallow baking dish, sprinkle sugar, ginger and salt over the strawberries. Toss to coat.
- Roast in preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, stirring after 20 minutes. Strawberries will be soft and juices will have released into the dish.
- Remove from oven, stir and transfer to a dish to cool. Refrigerate for at least one hour and up to one week.
- In a blender, combine ingredients and blend well. Pour into two glasses to serve.
