Sweet & Smoky Umami Bison Shepherd's Pie

Sweet & Smoky Umami Bison Shepherd's Pie

Makes: 6 servings

This bison shepherd’s pie gets its sweet and smoky flavor from the Simply Organic Umami Blend. Hints of maple and smoked paprika, along with shiitake and porcini mushrooms, infuse this bison and veggie filling with robust flavor. This pie comes together easily on a busy night with frozen thawed veggies and Bob’s Red Mill instant mashed potatoes. Make this in a 12 inch skillet that is about 2 ½ inches deep on the stove so you can pop the already warm pie into the oven and it will be done in roughly 20 minutes.
